Overview of Operation: Restraint
Mars Colony "Anteros" overrun by "Echidna" entity during routine radio checks.
Colony jumpgates have been altered by entity and growing number of colonists being
possessed by 'jitterhead' symptoms. Estimated possession of colony populace between
seventy and eighty-five percent. Anteros admins ordered to blackout the colony and
cease all further transmissions until US government deploys rescue team. Current
status of colony is unknown, due to radio silence for last 48 hours. Operation:
Restraint greenlit to prevent "Echidna" from invading earth via Anteros radio system.

	Purpose of operation:
[1] Activate all switches and destroy all conduits to ensure total blackout
of Anteros colony, trapping entity on mars until further notice.

[2] Eradicate Echidna's brood with extreme prejudice.

Space travel and combat training of specialist operatives already underway.
Both operatives are civilians, chosen for their experience foiling Echidna's previous
attacks (however unintentionally); their obvious insanity, a blessing in light of
operation's utter lack of volunteers; and their expendability, due to strong possibility
that away team may be forced to die on mars in order to ensure entity's destruction.
Specialists will be sent to mars via fusion shuttle following completion of training.
Promised any reward they desire should they return to earth in one piece -- neither asked
 for anything.

Specialists Overview and Training Camp Scores
Oliver "Ollie" Angry. Age 25. University custodian unable to hold better jobs due to
trauma of experience with Echidna (see attachment "Shudder Incident"). Due to great physical
strength, will be equipped with Heavy Cheeser rather than standard model.
	Dexterity	**
	Accuracy	***
	Power *****

Jayla Burgess. Age 23. Multiple Personality Disorder due to trauma of experience with
Echidna (see attachment "Child-Eater Invasion"). Confined to Arkham Asylum and kept under
strict supervision. Exhibited great skill with long-range weapons on firing range.

Specialist Equipment Overview
A) Life Support
Colony lichen farms have made martian air thin but breathable, so no life-support
needed beyond body armor. Specialists will be wearing NASA labor suits with coolant systems
 and emergency adrenaline injectors.

B) Primary Arms
(left mouse to fire, mousewheel to toggle)
	1) OrDyne Portable Mass Driver, aka Assault Coilgun. Military-grade weapon more
suitable to harsh interplanetary environments than conventional firearms, and does not
overheat with repeated use. Fires powderless bullet at high velocity.
	2) Pancor Cheeser. Potent auto-shotgun with considerable range, but only truly
useful in close quarters combat. Fires more slowly than Coilgun.

C) Secondary Arms
(weapon pickups, right mouse to fire)
	1) Redstone Shoulder-Mounted L.A.W. Explosive ordnance which proved its point
to Echidna's agents once before. Keep clear of blast radius and DO NOT use in close range.
	2) Redstone Pinball Cannon. Experimental weapon allowing shooter to kill bogeys
around corners without walking into their line of fire. Punches through soft targets and
releases wads of lead shot on detonation.
	3) OrDyne Ion Lance. Devastating energy weapon developed from NASA satellite lasers.
Creates a beam of searing light that cuts through almost all materials like a blowtorch
through paraffin. The intense heat instantly melts the coil and renders the weapon useless,
so a new coil is needed for each shot.

D) Artifacts of Unknown Origin
	1) Autofire. Doubles firing rate of primary weapons. Seems to favor Ollie.
	2) Ghostwalk. Renders user invisible to enemies. Seems to favor Jayla.
	3) Unbreakable. Renders user impervious to harm.

Objective Data
Specialists will seek these objects in every sector of the colony.
	1) Power Switch. Pressing this will deactivate one branch of the sector's power,
lowering any barriers connected to it.
	2) Power Conduit. These generators cannot be manually deactivated without proper
security clearance: they must be destroyed instead. Doing so will also lower barriers.
	3) Transit Jumpgate. Extra-large red jumpgates lead to the next sector. Some may
malfunction due to power fluxes, leaving the specialists unable to use them: removing all
power sources in the vicinity will alleviate the issue.

Known Echidna Agents
These are the Echidna spawn that the specialists are familiar with -- some confirmed
by Anteros admins -- which may be present on mars in large numbers.

Possessed Human Host, aka "Jitterhead." Gibbering maniacs exhibiting raw pink complexion,
bleeding yellow eyes, and unnaturally twitching head. Armed and extremely dangerous. Not known
whether controlled by individual cacodemons or if all are directly controlled by Echidna, itself.

Humanoid Flayworm Carrier, aka "Rawman." May or may not be human. Exhibits near-zombie-
like stoicism and releases deadly "Flayworm" parasites from chest cavity as its attack. Approach
with caution, as Flayworms explode from host en masse upon death and will actively seek a new host.
Explosive ordnance advised for killing both host and parasites.

Chameleon Hominid, aka "Flickering Mauler." Resembles cross between gorilla and wolverine.
Hunts by smell. Strange defense mechanism that changes its opacity and renders it virtually
invisible except when extremely close. Advise not letting it get that close.

Roving Atmospheric Beast, aka "Star Medusa." Hideous flying cnidarian that hunts like a
living storm cloud, blasting prey with lightning bolts and devouring whatever remains. Allegedly
flies over and through all obstacles in its path due to bizarre physical density. Reports say that
it can be killed with conventional weaponry and a little patience.

Polyphemian Hominid, aka "Cyclops." Behemoth resembling something out of a nightmare.
Stands twice as tall as a human and carries enough muscle to tear up chunks of the ground and fling
it at its prey's head. Engage with caution, as boulders tend to bounce off walls. Explosive
ordnance recommended when dealing with these beasts, or else immediate retreat.

Mobile Power Source, aka "Spiderbaby." Specialists unfortunately confirmed this one after
hearing admins' raving nonsense from last Anteros broadcast. The children of Echidna's victims
are converted into mobile batteries for powering stolen human tech and transmitting messages across
cosmos to unknown recipients -- thus it counts as a power source and must be destroyed in the case
of Transit Jumpgate malfunction. The Spiderbabies on mars are allegedly armed with low-density ion
 lances that allow repeated use.

Phasing Behemoth, aka "Argos." Only one of these horrors has been witnessed by an Anteros
staff member, based on the vague description of a "hundred-eyed giant" deciphered from his near-
death babbling (subject was missing right arm and half his face when found).

Echidna, aka "Zenith Entity, Child-Eater, Mother of All Monsters, etc." Powerful alien
entity believed to inhabit Anteros colony on mars. Has attempted migration to earth multiple
times in the past. Specialists must destroy it at all costs.
